Contrato por el que el precio total de un proyecto de construcci\u00f3n se negocia y acuerda entre el Contratista General (CG) y el Propietario, independientemente de cu\u00e1l sea el precio real al final del proyecto. Este tipo de contrato traslada al contratista todos los riesgos (futuros aumentos de precio) y recompensas (posibles ahorros de costos en el futuro). Para mayor claridad, si los costos reales de la construcci\u00f3n superan el importe global, el contratista asume el costo; si los costos reales acaban siendo inferiores al importe global, el contratista general seguir\u00e1 cobrando el importe global y ganar\u00e1 la diferencia.
